This is my son Jarrett and I in October of ‘08 cheering on Team Kimpossible. I was so inspired through the weekend witnessing the extraordinary passion and commitment of the walkers that I signed up to walk for Tampa ‘09. Doing this presented a challenge for my wife and I. Since she did, of course, walk as well. We both had to raise $4600 combined instead of $2300 for one of us. We felt we could meet this challenge and because of our very generous donors we did! We were then able to concentrate on putting in countless hours training, preparing, money spent on supplies, new walking shoes, hotel stay, etc. not to mention the fact we took off work and put our bodies through a grooling 72 hours of walking in the Florida sun, sleeping in a tent for two nights, and being simply uprooted from our daily lives. With all that in mind, we didn’t hesitate.
We are already looking forward to the October 2010 Tampa 3-day! To help me walk the 2010 walk, please consider making a donation to help me reach my $2300 minimum. To do so, please visit my 3-day site to make an online donation. If you are unable to make an online donation and can do check, please click the contact link at the top of the page and we can make arrangements.
If you would also like to attend our 2nd annual Strike Cancer! Spare the Tatas! bowling fundraiser please visit http://strikecancer.com for more information and pictures from last year’s event. This year can only be better!
Thank you for your consideration in helping us rid the world of breast cancer! Everyone deserves a lifetime!
Dylan
