Gayle Bouterse, Team Captain, Crew
Gayle walked the Breast Cancer 3-Day with Kim in 2002 in Boca Raton, FL. Following Kim’s passing in May 2008 Gayle has been instrumental in putting together Team Kimpossible for the 2008, 2009, and 2010 walks. Gayle walked in 2008 and 2009 and participated as crew in 2010 with Ashleigh driving a sweep van coined the “Boobaneers”.

Ashleigh Ann Crites, Walker Stalker – Following the loss of Kim’s life, I realized that just buying the products bearing the pink ribbon (which I have done for years) was not enough. Breast cancer started to hit close to home, and I couldn’t just sit back and watch it strike without a fight! I walked the 3 day in 08 and 09, I tested out the crew waters in ’10 as a sweep ship sailer, and am currently signed up for crew in ’11. I walk and crew because everyone deserves to meet their grandchildren, see their loved ones get married, graduate, and be there to experience their everyday lives together….. I am a supporter because everyone deserves a lifetime! Walker, Tampa, ’08

Andi TorresCrew – The night of our dear friend Kim’s funeral we (her friends) took a shot of PINK (Tequila Rose) and committed to walk in the 3-Day in her memory and honor.  And that is exactly what we did in 2008.  The following year, 2009, I decided that walking wasn’t for me but rather supporting team Kimpossible as a “stalker” was.  Sheila and I drove countless miles along the route providing water, snacks, foot care and encouragement as our team walked those 60 miles.  This year, 2010, after the passing of Sheila’s sister-in-law, Deanna, I decided I needed to be more involved so I signed up for Crew and was assigned to Route Safety-Moto Crew.  I stood in intersections and assisted the walkers in crossing safely.  But that’s not all… we danced, we cheered, we hugged and we cried and the walkers made an impact on me that I will never forget.  So, two days after returning home, I signed up again for Crew for 2011.  Why do I do this?  Because I have to!!!  I do it for you, for me, for my friends and for my family because everyone deserves a lifetime!!!!! Dylan Bouterse, Walker – Each year I become more and more inspired to do more within the breast cancer community. At the time of this writing we are only 2 days after the closing of the 2010 Tampa 3-day yet we have 7 members registered for the 2011 walk. This event, this cause is as genuine and necessary as they come. We began walking in Kim’s memory, but we now have so many more reasons to add to that. The 2011 walk will be my 3rd year walking and is already shaping up to be the biggest since Team Kimpossible’s inception in 2008.
Update: I have been selected to represent Team Kimpossible in the 2012 60-Mile Men calendar! I will be Mr. October 2012. Click “60-Mile Men Calendar” to get your copy!

Amy Dyer, Walker – I decided to join Team Kimpossible in 2009 after I was exposed to the event through friends that had a deep connection to the cause. The year prior my friend Gayle lost her best friend Kim after a long battle against breast cancer, leaving behind a young daughter with a grandchild on the way. Following Kim’s passing, Gayle and other friends of Kim walked in her honor.
I witnessed the amazing dedication by Kim’s friends, Gayle’s husband Dylan and son Jarrett. After witnessing their commitment to such an important cause, I became very inspired and decided to join the fight. When I took on the responsibility to help fight breast cancer, I didn’t just pledge to fight breast cancer alone, but to fight all cancer. I, too, have family and friends that are affected not only by breast cancer, but by many other forms of disease. I walk in honor of those that have passed and walk in support to those that are still fighting.

Jennifer Schwab, Walker – This will be my 5th year doing the walk and a lot of people in the past say you are crazy to walk 60 miles and then to boot you have to raise $2,300 just to walk. Then they always ask do you know someone with Breast Cancer or did you lose someone to Breast Cancer and my answer was no I do it cause you never know who in your life will end up with it and I don’t want that regret of why didn’t I try to help find a cure before its too late. It was so crazy to me I almost didn’t walk last year and then it hit me get your butt off the couch and do it cause I heard that little voice in my head saying “you never know who in your life will end up with this disgusting disease”. So this year I sign up early because I have even more reason to walk this year due to my partner Lisa who was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer so with that I say this will be the most rewarding journey I take not only cause we need to find a cure but due to the fact that she is walking in this walk with us as a “Survivor” in 2011 and I know she has the best support team possible to help her get thru this amazing journey. Rachael Lauria, 1st year Walker! – Rachael was a neighbor of Kim’s and has been instrumental in the success of Team Kimpossible over the last few years. She’s provided moral support, good laughs in “the hood” (what we call the neighborhood Kim lived in, and where Rachael, Andi and Sheila still reside), and most importantly, gathering the best raffle prizes for our “Strike Cancer, Spare the Tatas” annual bowling fundraiser. She never lacks in spirit loves to wear her pink! Rachel finally made it down to closing ceremonies for the first time in Tampa this past October and within hours, was ready to sign up to walk. She made good on that promise the day after closing ceremonies and was the first official member of Team Kimpossible 2011! We look forward to training with you, walking with you, and sharing some tears in 2011 Rachael! Walker, Tampa, ’11
Lisa Cline, 1st year Walker! – 2011 will be my first walk and I will walk as a survivor. I am one of those people who thought it would be so cool to do the walk when I heard it on the radio, but never signed up. I am one of those people that thought that it would not happen to me. I am one of those people that it happened to. So now I walk for myself, I walk for my partner, I walk for my family, and I walk so that my children Jordan, Taylor, and Ryan, hopefully, will never have to be told they have cancer!
